I feel my life is so scattered right now. Like it’s all these small pieces of paper and someone’s turned on the fan. But talking to you makes me feel like the fan’s been turned off for a little bit. Like things could actually make sense. You completely unscatter me, and I appreciate that so much.

Don’t worry!

I did go on my 2.5 mile run. Fear not!

But in all seriousness, I don’t want to tell people about it because if I decide not to do it, it’ll suck having to tell them I’m not. And like my previous rant was about, I like my privacy. I don’t have a problem telling people on twitter though because no one I know is on that at least. That’s why I liked Facebook back in the day.

Technology

I’ve decided to delete my Facebook account. It’s a pretty big deal because I’ve had it for so many years now. It feels like it is tying me down to things that shouldn’t matter to me. Not only that, but it’s a tool to be much more catty to everyone as well. I don’t know if you’ve realized this but high school is over. Posting private matters just makes you seem juvenile and petty.
The privacy thing also gets to me in another way. Facebook is selling information about you every time you do something on their website. I don’t want my information to be sold to a bunch of companies.
But what I hate is seeing updates on other peoples lives. So you basically fucked me over in the friendship department and now you’re hanging out with people that you said you didn’t like? Ah yes, because friendship isn’t built on common interests but on hating the same people. What kind of friendship is that? Do you get together and just rant about the person you hate and call that a friendship?
But then again, my opinion is a bit bias. I just want some sort of justice.

On another note, I just started training for a half marathon. I started on Monday actually. I need to find the motivation to keep doing it.

I’m always amazed at friends who say they try to read at night in bed but always end up falling asleep. I have the opposite problem. If a book is good I can’t go to sleep, and stay up way past my bedtime, hooked on the writing. Is anything better than waking up after a late-night read and diving right back into the plot before you even get out of bed to brush your teeth?
